Holy Communion celebrated on every first and third Sundays

All over this magnificent world, God calls us to extend his kingdom of shalom-peace and wholeness — of justice, of goodness, of compassion, of caring, of sharing, of laughter, of joy, of reconciliation. God is transfiguring the world right this very moment through us because God believes in us and because God loves us.

What can separate us from the love of God? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And as we share God’s love with our brothers and sisters, God’s other children, there is no tyrant who can resist us, no opposition that cannot be ended, no hunger that cannot be fed, no wound that cannot be healed, no hatred that cannot be turned into love, no dream that cannot be fulfilled.

—Desmond Tutu, God Has a Dream

NEWS FROM LUTHERAN LADIES

The Lutheran Ladies and the youth are going to be making candy and valentine cards for the shut-ins.  They are going to get together on Saturday, February 4 at the church.  If you would like more information, please contact Patti Niemi.  On Saturday, February 11th, they are going to be delivering the cards and candy to the shut-ins.  Would you like to go with them?  Again, call Patti for any information.

The next Lutheran Ladies meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 7 at 10:00 am.

February 19 -- Lutheran Ladies will be sponsoring a Spaghetti Dinner to benefit the youth that will be attending Joshua House this summer.

On February 11th, the Lutheran Ladies are going to be cleaning the kitchen and dining room of the church, beginning around 9 am.  They are asking for your help.  If you are able to sit, you would be able to clean a drawer.  The more help they have, the quicker the job can be completed.  A big thank you in advance.

Please plan to attend this meeting and bring your ideas and suggestions to help get the group off the ground and up and running. Your patience will be greatly appreciated during this growing process. This group is here for you!

On February 25, the Outreach Program of the Lutheran Ladies will be holding knitting and crocheting lessons for ladies of the church and the surrounding area.  We are asking that you sign up so that we can plan more easily.  This is your chance to pick up a new skill or brush up on one you may have forgotten.  It looks like it will be a lot of fun.  If you have any questions, please call Karen Fetchko, who will be leading the group.
